Painted On Heaven’s Canvas

Written by Daniel Piper

Dear Child,

Your identity is like an image.

The most beautiful in all the universe.

It’s been painted on Heaven’s canvas.

Not far do you have to search.

Some people say to pick and choose an image of your choice.

But how can you outperform the universe’s voice?

The heavens’ spoke when they painted your stroke.

Your eyes and heart were God’s prize from the start.

Color by color.

The Designer used endless hues.

Inside of you there’s a treasure.

You can’t even measure.

The Creator painted you with bare hands.

Each detail with thoughts numbering more than grains of sand.

So next time you look in a mirror.

You are watching all of Heaven’s stars coming in clearer.

You are the crown jewel of the world’s design.

The Painter chose your image before the beginning of time.

The Father lifted His brush and gave life to the art.

He copied over His beauty and placed it in your heart.

Don’t let anyone convince you to conform to a new image.

Tell them you are God’s masterpiece.

It was Heaven’s decision.

God’s fingers molded your body and mind like clay.

There is no one more beautiful in the world today.

Just as you are, is enough to shine like a star.

So why change?

The Son of God meets you right where you are.

It’s a lie to think you must go searching far.

So, if you ever feel broken or alone, as if your image has lost its home…

The Lord Jesus Christ can make all things new.

Allow Him to pick you up and make a brand new you.

What Jesus fixes lasts forever.

There’s no more shame when you see yourself as God’s treasure.

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” – Psalm 139:13-14
