Lord, I Crave You

Lord, I crave to be in Your presence.

There’s a hook in my heart to constantly fall into Your loving hands.

My soul knows there is no better place than in the center of Your plans.

Showered in a mystery of divine peace only sourced from God above.

It doesn’t matter the turmoil going on around when I’m drinking agape love.

Soaked in the heart of Christ; on the inside eternity is having a party.

I can’t help but speak of this amazing love to souls around me.

Like a fertile growing tree producing good fruit.

The Son of the living God has become my daily root.

How has this happened?

When this world offers you nothing is when Christ becomes everything.

When human pleasure dies is the moment heavenly treasure thrives.

I crave this treasure like it’s the only thing that satisfies.

Because I have been to the lowest of lows. Dealt the toughest of blows.

When you have to swallow all of your pride there is nowhere else left to hide.

Naked and exposed before the Almighty. I quickly discovered how depraved is my humanity.

The inner man inside me died and Jesus Christ became all truth meant for living.

So the craving comes from desperation knowing that without Christ – I am nothing.

The pride of thinking I know a better way. Is the attitude that keeps Jesus far away.

Lord, I crave you because I know I have not a clue – without You.
