written by Daniel Piper
I am the Lord’s and the Lord is mine.
Jesus lives inside of me and His light has to shine.
It’s taken time to transform my mind.
To realize I am the dwelling place of the Divine.
The enemy lies and tries to corrupt my thinking;
without Christ I’m a lost ship sailing away sinking.
I cling to the anchor – that is God’s Word:
the only light that illumines my path.
You see, I only shine…
when I am connected to the vine.
Without Christ, I’m a wandering soul taking up time and space.
Captured by sin and darkness that I cannot erase.
Thank God for His Son, Jesus, who was born.
Christ willingly took my pain and wore the crown of thorns.
The enemy tried to steal my Savior from God’s face.
The resurrected lamb is my only way out of this messed up place.
I’m sober waiting for the Lord to come again.
Every day looking up when those clouds of glory come rolling in.
Until then, I’m just spreading the love of Christ.
It’s who I am:
I am the Lord’s and Lord is mine.
