Dear Child,
You are like a little baby tree.
One day the master grower needs you strong and mighty.
The Creator grows your life like branches and leaves.
God made your life one of a kind with unique talents and gifts.
Your branches will spread out to provide love and truth.
Your mom and dad’s care offers the beginning proof.
So make sure you’re growing the right way.
Soak in God’s light and drink living water every day.
Be careful what your eyes see.
The light you soak in spreads to the whole tree.
You cannot grow on your own.
You need God’s Word to build strong bones.
Make sure your roots go down deep.
God has an enemy who wants to stunt your growth.
Invite God into your entire garden.
This will make sure your branches grow far and wide.
The Master loves to pluck out weeds that don’t belong.
The Lord knows what’s right and what’s wrong.
Invite God back into your garden of life every day.
It brings the Father joy when you allow Him to stay.
In life you will stumble and fall.
But don’t worry, God’s Spirit loves to rebuild us after all.
God is a gentle Gardener who gets down in the dirt.
For the Creator knows how brilliant you can become.
Cling to the vine of God’s only Son.
Jesus forgives and purifies your heart to be bright like the Sun.
One day child, you can be a mighty tree.
Doing the work of God to hand out fruit to those in need.
“but His delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not whither. In all that he does, he prospers.” – Psalm 1:2-3
